The printing form for the overprint must have come down on the plate while a sheet was not there, so when the next sheet received its overprint, it also picked up a reverse impression on the back (the stamp is a normal overprint on the front and is perfectly aligned with the one on the back). The overprint is under the gum. (Description by Martin Treadwell)
