1942 on a French 10c stamp (normal rate would have been 30c) with PCH type

by a member of U.S. Naval Base Hospital #3, Navy 140, Naval censor mark,
postmark with slogan "TOJO LOOK OUT" not listed in Jersey's book. (Treadwell coll.)

Unusual cover from Espiritu Santo to Sydney.
The 5c.or and 10c.or France Libre stamps tied by a double circle U.S. NAVY cachet
type Jersey 18 but with a three bar killer postmark. On front a circular cachet PASSED BY NAVAL CENSOR in violet . ("SeSi" coll)

Incoming mail possibly as #706 was in Guadalcanal as far as I know and #140 in Santo. I guess that James A Michener had a quiet job
at the Supply Depot so he had time to write his "Tales of the South Pacific". (Klinger coll.)

Incoming military mail is not very often seen: this is a special one! The
included notice says that this letter was recovered from a crashed plane at
Segond Channel, Santo. Maybe this was a Catalina, a Wing Commander and a dozen
more people died in this crash. (Treadwell coll.)

Censored New Hebrides postcard "Matelots de la Réserve Navale" to Fletcher North Carolina, USA.
The US 6 cents stamp paid the military ail mail rate, tied by a Navy four bar killer postmark without a particular post office (APO) number assigned to it.
This postmark was used by the 550th CBMU (Naval Construction Maintenance Unit - "CB" stands for "Construimus, Batuimus") which was based on Efate from January 1944 to late December 1944.
Circular " Passed by naval censor " cachet in blue. This is one of these low quality postcards with very heavy paper produced in about 1940. ("SeSi" coll.)

Censored New Hebrides postcard "Village indigène de l'Ilôt Vila" to Fletcher North Carolina, USA. "Vila" striked out and is wrong by the way as Vila is the city and not an island.

Everything was possible in the WWII New Hebrides: US 6c Air stamp with PCH
type 11 cancel. It could have been on a cover to the U.S.A. and prepaid the inner U.S: Air Mail. (Mele coll.)
