COmmercial use cover to: The Archdeacon, Anglican Mission,
Lolowai, Aoba, New Hebrides.
Colonial letter rate was 20cg since 1st July 1970. So 20cg frnaking is o.k.
The letter is from "Noel Krauss, Hotel Corsica, Luganville,
Santo, New Hebrides" (inscription on the back).
As the Hawaiian lead "bug man," Noel L.H. Krauss got to travel the world looking
for insects. His mission: hunt up parasites and predators with which
to conduct biological warfare against alien weeds, insects and snails.
For more than 30 years, Krauss served as the state's (and the territory's)
exploratory entomologist, roaming the globe searching for beneficial insects.
He found more than a few.
He died in 1996 at the age of 86 in Hawaii.
This letter shows that he travelled on after his retirement in 1967.
