1925 French Essay to prepare printing (Goron coll.)
French 1911 set of eleven values affixed to a partitioned sheet and used for Essays for the 1925 issue, with each altered by hand in ink showing the original value in the centre
deleted and the dual English/French currencies inserted below "POSTAGE/POSTES". Additionally each has the number to be printed below in red and instructions added for the new colours for five values,
while the other six are marked ""No change". The whole mounted on a slightly larger sheet with a typed heading in French. An important item relating to the changes necessary for the 1925 issue.

1924 chiffre taxe - De La Rue Die Proof: From the master die in carmine pink
mounted on very thick sunken card, the value tablets have been hand painted
"2½D" and "25c", also "CHIFFRE TAXE" has been drawn in ink. Dated
"17th October 1924" and endorsed "D" and "Approved overprint to be slightly lowered

1924 essay for the French issue comprising a proof in carmine with
hand-painted "2½D" and "25c" value tablets (partially erased), and hand-drawn
"CHIFFRE TAXE" in black, the whole affixed to thick card , marked "F", dated "5-11-24"
and marked "Appd as to position of overprint 7/11/24". (seen in
