1925 British Essay to prepare printing (Goron coll.)
British 1911 set of nine values affixed to a partitioned sheet and used for Essays for the 1925 issue, with each altered by hand in ink showing the original value in the centre
deleted and the dual French/English currencies inserted below "POSTES/POSTAGE". Additionally each has the number to be printed below in red and instructions added for the new colours for four values,
while the other five are marked ""No change". The whole mounted on a slightly larger sheet with a typed heading in French. An important item relating to the changes necessary for the 1925 issue.

British issue 25c POSTAGE DUE proofs. (from "Classification of British Commonwealth Postage Dues, 1885 - 1984" by David L. Herendeen, Seoul, South Korea, August 1994)
A first draft for the 1925 DUE /TAXE stamps.
1924 Postage Due - De La Rue Die Proof: Early matted essay of the postage due overprint. This item is extraordinary in several regards:
firstly, there are very few overprint essays for any postage due issues; secondly, it was executed using an imperforated proof of the 2½d / 25c blue postage stamp
which is not one of the values used for the postage dues; and finally, it is the actual endorsed approval copy from the De La Rue archives with additional instructions
to "slightly lower" the overprint.
1924 Postage Due - De La Rue Die Proof: A second matted essay of the postage due overprint. Executed 19 days after the essay shown
at left, the overprint has been lowered 2 mm. The new position was then approved as indicated by the endorsement. Ex the De La Rue Archives.
Final plate proofs of some values of the British series.
According to Hals/Collas (p.113), final plate proofs in ultramarine on thick
proof paper were made. (The 1d exists as proof too) Almost certainly a full set of the British values was made.
