10 August 1934 !1934?
A set of the 1925 French stamps on an unaddressed cover neatly cancelled with PCH Type 36.
The problem with this cover is that the Santo Post Office had been opened on 1.1.1940.
Either the cancel was set back or - more likely possibly - the year slug had been set
thew rong way round: 34 instead of 43. In Santo they took it easy with the cancel settings even in
2006 when I was at the PO the cancel was set on the wrong day.
This is possibly a construct of
Monsieur Leralle who also had a cover with this postmark dated 7 April 1934.
