These stamps are all from one special edition with the millésime 8 (the year 1908) printed only for the purpose to be issued with the overprint for the New Hebrides. They were not issued without overprint so they were not in use in New Caledonia.

Issue of 21 November 1908
5c and 10c Cagou issue, 25c and 50c Rade de Nouméa issue.

Sometimes these millésimes can be found with only one stamp cancelled or as singles with part of the number field.

These stamps were overprinted by the Government Printing Office, Paris, in sheets of 150 in 6 panes of 25 (5 x 5). A numeral, the "millésime", which represents the final number of the year in which printing took place, was printed in the gutter between the panes on the second row.
All examples shown here are from the first printing issue, where only the word "Condominium" was added.
