These stamps are all from one special edition with the millésime 8 (the year 1908)
printed only for the purpose to be issued with the overprint for the New Hebrides.
They were not issued without overprint so they were not in use in New Caledonia.

These stamps were overprinted by the Government Printing Office, Paris,
in sheets of 150 in 6 panes of 25 (5 x 5). A numeral, the "millésime", which
represents the final number of the year in which printing took place, was
printed in the gutter between the panes on the second row.
All examples shown here are from the first printing issue, where only the word
"Condominium" was added.
